While many people are saying that this is the first time ever that all 3 New York metropolitan area NHL teams (Rangers, Islanders, and Devils) missed the playoffs together, this is not the first time that the metropolitan area will not have a team in the playoffs. The last time that no teams from the area made the playoffs was in 1966, when the Rangers were the only team in town (the Islanders were founded in 1972 and the Devils moved to New Jersey in 1982), and there were several years where the Rangers did not qualify before then. The 58 year playoff qualification streak among the Rangers, Islanders, and Devils was the longest streak of playoff qualification across at least two teams teams from the same metropolitan area in the single league league in the history of major league professional sports. According to [[WP:OTHERCONTENT]] {{tq|On Wikipedia, anyone can create or contribute to articles. This means that you cannot make a convincing argument based solely on whether similar content exists on another page.}}. I find this information wildly unnecessary to include as the none of any of the prior playoffs have included this, nor have the NBA playoffs prior to this year. Plus, including the schedule of games that make it so succint to sound like an [[WP:NOTADVERT]], makes it very against a neutral point of view. So, I find this argument very unconvincing. Thoughts?
