Stranger Things Volume 2 Gets Major Production Update With Release Just 2 Weeks Away
Cr. COURTESY OF NETFLIX © 2025 It’s just two weeks until Stranger Things returns to our screens, and, incredibly, the team has still been working on post-production for volume 2 even after volume 1 was released just a few weeks ago.  The news comes as no surprise, given the Duffer Brothers spoke to SFX Magazine for their holiday special, which previews what’s to come in season 5 volume 2, with lots of new stills (subscribe here). Their interview followed the Lucca Comics & Games convention, where the brothers revealed that “all the episodes are locked in, so it’s really just down to music, VFX, and sound for the final episodes. But we’re getting very, very close.” The Duffers touched on several points about Volume 2, including the surprise Kali appearance in the final episode of Volume 1. “Kali shifts things a lot for Eleven,” Matt told SFX, “I think it’ll be surprising for people to see how she ultimately fits into the story. We’re excited about that, because it immediately changes the tone. And obviously, the way things ended with Hopper leaves a lot of tension between them. In the new Instagram video, we get to see the titles (which have already long been revealed) for the upcoming episodes, and just like when we got the volume 1 post-production update, Ross Duffer has teased the new episodes with new cryptic descriptions: “Chapters Five, Six and Seven: locked, mixed, scored, colored… Volume Two is DONE. “Shock Jock” picks up moments after the end of “Sorcerer”. Frank Darabont is back, but he flexes very different muscles on this one than he did on “Turnbow Trap”— it’s far darker, and far scarier. “Escape from Camazotz” is Shawn Levy’s return to the director’s chair. It’s the biggest episode of the three— and the performances make us cry every time we watch it. “The Bridge”… we co-directed this one with Shawn. Don’t want to say too much, but aside from the finale, it’s probably the most emotional chapter of the season. It’s gonna be a long six day wait for the finale…” Ross Duffer also teased that the runtimes will be revealed imminently. Of course, we already know the runtime of the final chapter, which releases on New Year’s, is 2 hours and 5 minutes.  We’re expecting things to continue building up in the next couple of weeks, so keep an eye on our site for the latest and follow our friends at Stranger Things Spoilers, who do a diligent job of tracking all things Stranger Things.  Countdown to Stranger Things 5 Stranger Things 5 Volume 1 Show times Stranger Things 5 Volume 2 Show times Stranger Things 5 Finale Show times
