Diploma in Civil Engineering.

Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

B.Sc. in Chemistry.

Age Limit

Age limits differ depending on the post.

Junior Executive Posts (Freshers): Maximum 25 Years
Engineer Posts: Maximum 25 Years
Officer Positions: Maximum 25–27 Years
Experienced Roles: Up to 47 Years depending on experience

Age Relaxation

SC / ST Candidates: 5 Years
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years
PwBD Candidates: Up to 10–15 Years depending on category
Ex-Servicemen: As per government norms

The maximum upper age limit including relaxation cannot exceed 56 years.

Salary and Pay Scale

Selected candidates will receive attractive pay scales depending on the position.

Junior Executive Pay Scale
₹30,000 – ₹1,20,000 per month

Officer / Engineer Pay Scale
Up to ₹1,20,000 – ₹2,80,000 per month

Approximate annual CTC ranges from ₹10.88 lakh to ₹49.30 lakh depending on role and location.

Selection Process

The selection process may include several stages depending on the position applied for.

  1. Computer Based Test (CBT)

  2. Document Verification

  3. Group Task or Psychometric Assessment

  4. Skill Test / Typing Test (if applicable)

  5. Technical or Personal Interview

  6. Medical Examination

  7. Physical Fitness Efficiency Test (for specific roles)

The CBT generally includes two parts:

Part I – General Aptitude
English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation

Part II – Technical or Professional Knowledge related to the candidate’s educational qualification. 


Probation and Service Bond

Selected candidates will be placed on one year probation from the date of joining.

Candidates will also have to sign a service bond of three years with HPCL.
