On January 24, 2025, the Coast Guard began the core DEI/DEIA purge with ALCOAST 026/25. That message said the following directives and their associated programs were canceled the following: the Diversity and Inclusion Education and Awareness Program, Leadership and Diversity Councils, the U.S. Coast Guard Affinity Group Program, the U.S. Coast Guard Diversity Outreach Program, and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan 2024–2026.
