‘Yellowstone’ To Release on Netflix For First Time in International Regions
Picture: Paramount The Taylor Sheridan Western series Yellowstone, headlined by Kevin Costner, is set to make its Netflix debut in a few select regions with multiple seasons arriving mid-way through January 2024. This is the second major Paramount series to head to Netflix internationally in recent months. You may recall we recently reported on Yellowjackets headed to Netflix in international territories. In that case, we saw the show drop in at least 15 countries according to Unogs. Those include Latin American territories like Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, and Mexico. We also saw it touch down on Netflix in Australia, India, and South Africa. A few European countries got it, too, including Greece, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Romania. We can’t confirm all the regions set to get Yellowstone, but we have seen notices on Netflix in all the LatAm countries plus India thus far. A notification and show page resolves in those select regions stating that multiple “Seasons” are coming on January 15th, 2024. “Yellowstone is coming to Netflix” message in the Netflix App Will Yellowstone be on Netflix Globally? Although we’re getting a small rollout of Yellowstone on Netflix, don’t expect it to become a global show anytime soon. For the most part, rights for the show are all locked up either with Paramount’s own Paramount+ or, in the case of the United States, the series still resides exclusively on streaming via Peacock following its initial run on cable TV. That said, once the show wraps up, it’s possible the show could be licensed out to other providers. For those not getting Yellowstone on Netflix – we’ve put together a list of alternative shows and movies to watch on the streamer instead. This isn’t the only other high-profile licensed title headed to Netflix in international territories at the moment. We’re still awaiting confirmation, but indications are that some other library content from Paramount and Universal Television is on the way to Netflix, including some fan favorites. Stay tuned. Netflix US is still getting lots of licensed titles for 2024. Just recently, we reported on the 14 Disney-owned shows set to arrive, plus we’ve got word that The Conners, Black Sails, and no doubt plenty more are set to arrive over the coming year. Hat tip to Netflix Portal on X for first alerting us to this new arrival in Brazil. Are you living in one of the countries that’s getting Yellowstone? Let us know in the comments.
