What’s Coming to Netflix This Week: Christmas Day to New Year’s Eve, 2023

Now let’s get into some highlights of what’s on the way this week: Most Anticipated New Releases This Week Berlin (Season 1) Coming to Netflix: Friday The mothership series Money Heist may have ended not even a couple of years ago, but we’ve slowly seen the expansion of the IP since then, with the biggest of all set to be the new spin-off that lands on Netflix at the tail end of this week. Álex Pina is back as showrunner, and most importantly, Pedro Alonso is back in his iconic role of Berlin, with eight new episodes exploring his past life before he came to team up with The Professor. Elvis (2022) Coming to Netflix: Sunday Netflix has been getting some very recent Warner Bros. Pictures movies as of late, and possibly one of the biggest to arrive so far is the sublime Oscar-nominated biopic on Elvis Presley starring Austin Butler. Directed by Baz Luhrmann, who worked with Netflix on The Get Down series, the life of the rock and roll star is laid out in this 2 hour and 40 minute movie that pays particular attention on his relationship with his manager, Colonel Tom Parker. Tacoma FD (Seasons 1-3) Coming to Netflix: Sunday Picture: TruTV If you fancy a laugh going into the New Year, you’ll be able to do just that with the overlooked (possibly because it’s on an old cable channel) series Tacoma FD, which drops on Netflix US for the first time. Created by and starring Kevin Heffernan and Steve Lemme, the series follows a fire crew that doesn’t have much work coming their way, so instead, keeps themselves entertained with creative competitions, friendly first responder rivalries, and bizarre emergency calls.
