Wall St gains, SP hits record closing high as CPI meets expectations

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 216.3 points, or 0.6%, to 35,970.99, the SP 500 gained 44.57 points, or 0.95%, to 4,712.02 and the Nasdaq Composite added 113.23 points, or 0.73%, to 15,630.60.
