:If the Mediterranean Sea doesn't qualify then there should at least be a better explanation of why in the article. The definition at the top is: a continental body of water which is very large in area and is either completely surrounded by dry land (landlocked), or connected to an ocean by a river, strait or "arm of the sea". The Mediterranean qualifies except that a lot of it is not continental.
