}}Răcăria is a village in Rîșcani District, Moldova. It is the center of the Răcăria commune.Clasificatorul unităților administrativ-teritoriale al Republicii Moldova (CUATM) ro

History
At the end of the 18th century, a settlement was established on the banks of the Kapachanka River by immigrants from Austria-Hungary. Through the study of various archival sources, it was found that the original name of the village was Rychriya (from Latin "rych" - rich, "riya" - land by the river).National Agency of Archives of the Republic of Moldova. (n.d.). Metrical books (church registers). Chișinău, Moldova. https://arhiva.gov.md/

Records from 1810s indicate the territory of the village was sometimes referred to as the property of Prince Mihail Sturdza.

From 1870 until the beginning of the 20th century, the village of Răcăria was informally reffered to as Yegorovka after the owner of the village boyer Gheorghe (Egor) Râșcanu, from the House of Râșcanu and Sturdza.

The entire population of the village, as well as the surrounding villages, speaks the Pokutian-Bukovinian dialect of the Ukrainian language.

The first documented mention of the village of Răcăria dates back to 1809.

In 1859, the village elder was Mykhail Ivanovych Hutsul (born 1809). The National Archive preserved the 1859 Revision written by Mykhail Ivanovych.National Agency of Archives of the Republic of Moldova. (n.d.). 1859 Revizskie Skazki, Chișinău, Moldova. https://arhiva.gov.md/

A wooden Orthodox church "Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary" in the village of Răcăria was built in 1902 with funds from the faithful. The church stored a highly valuable catapetasma and many gilded icons. In 1950, the church was closed, and all religious items were destroyed. The church reopened for worshippers in 1991 and was consecrated in 1992.{{Cite web |last=Bortă |first=Pr Mihail |date=2017-11-07 |title=Sfințirea bisericii „Nașterea Maicii Domnului” din s. The church underwent restoration in 2017 and was consecrated by Bishop Vladimir, Metropolitan of Chișinău and All Moldova.

The village day is celebrated on September 21, on the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
