New Indian Movies on Netflix: December 2023

Picture: Netflix Movies were the focus in December, with no new Indian series debuting this month. The newly added films include a number of under-the-radar arthouse pictures as well as three new Netflix Originals: The Archies, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, and the true-crime documentary Curry & Cyanide. Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar moves the world of the Archie comics to an Anglo-Indian town in the 1960s in this musical with novel choreography but a story that’s a little thin. Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video (2023) Language: Hindi Runtime: 113 Minutes Director: Mikhil Musale Cast: Nimrat Kaur, Radhika Madan, Bhagyashree Genre: Drama, Thriller | Added to Netflix: December 21 Video of a respected high school physics teacher dancing at a club goes viral. When the teacher posts a suicide note on her social media and disappears, public pressure forces the police to investigate her disappearance. Curry & Cyanide: The Jolly Joseph Case (2023) N Languages: Malayalam, English, French, German, Hindi, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, Tamil, & Telugu Runtime: 95 Minutes Director: Christo Tony Genre: Documentary | Added to Netflix: December 22 The Netflix Original documentary Curry & Cyanide is based on the Koodathayi cyanide killings — a series of six suspicious deaths within the same Kerala family that occurred between 2002 and 2016.
