Ginny & Georgia Season 4 Wraps Filming—But Is It the Final Season?

Fans are also freaking out that some of the language in wrap posts may suggest season 4 may be the last season.

Ginny & Georgia Season 4 Wraps Filming—But Is It the Final Season?
Picture Credit: Netflix The cameras have officially stopped rolling in Wellsbury! Production on the highly anticipated fourth season of Netflix’s hit drama Ginny & Georgia has officially wrapped in Toronto, meaning we are one step closer to finding out what happens next to our favorite mother-daughter duo, but fans have begun rampant speculation that some of the wrap posts seem to hint that it could be the final season. Here’s what we know.  It feels like just yesterday Season 3 dropped in June 2025 and completely took over the Netflix Top 10s. Racking up a massive 53 million views in its first six weeks, the show proved that its audience is as passionate as ever. Because Netflix had the foresight to renew the series for Seasons 3 and 4 at the same time in 2023, the team was able to get right back to work, minimizing the dreaded “Netflix wait” between seasons. With production now officially in the rearview mirror, here’s an update we know about Ginny & Georgia Season 4, including when we expect it to release and what drama is coming next. When did Ginny & Georgia Season 4 film? The writers’ room for Season 4 opened in early 2025 and wrapped up scripts in August. Filming officially kicked off in Toronto, Canada, on September 29, 2025. Operating under the secret working title Good Company, the cast and crew filmed through the holidays and were originally due to finish on February 25th, 2026, but it wasn’t until this weekend (March 7th-8th) that the series officially wrapped with multiple stars and crew members sharing stories and posts across social media. Here’s a selection of some of them:  Sara Waisglass posted the most ominous of the messages with regard to it, perhaps being the final season writing: “That’s a wrap wrap wrap! Love this cast. Love this crew. Max, I will miss you. Ginny and Georgia Season 4 is on its way people!” Diesel La Torraca posted a video of the filming wrap with Antonia Gentry: This might have been their last day on set all together. I am not okay PLS NETFLIX GIVE US A SEASON 5!!! byu/laramariotti inginnyandgeorgiashow Adding further fuel to the speculation is Scott Parker, who wrote a long post upon wrap, which does have an air of finality to it:  “Stepped on set for the last time for Season 4 last night. I love being there for the final curtain, whether I’m working or not, and this time I wasn’t. Getting to sit and watch our cast & crew put their hearts into this show until the very last cut is such an honor. I will ALWAYS show up for this family. So, That’s a wrap on season 4. Tears were shed, both of pure joy and a tinge of the bittersweet. Proud to be a part of it all. So excited that it’s onto the next stage for y’all to see it! We hope you love it. Since it was the last night you know I had to come correct, so put on a fit and went in. Can’t share the other pics from the night until later because we were on sets and folks were in costume, but they’ll come eventually. Love y’all.” Will Ginny & Georgia actually end with season 4? When Netflix confirmed both seasons 3 and 4, there was no mention that season 4 would be the final season, and the viewership numbers, as outlined above, certainly don’t support the show ending anytime soon. The creators of Ginny & Georgia have been very open about their original roadmap for the show. When the show was first developed, creator Sarah Lampert and former showrunner Debra J. Fisher planned out a specific, four-season arc. In a 2023 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Fisher confirmed their original vision: “When Sarah [Lampert] and I pitched the show to Netflix, we did pitch four seasons, so we know what we want the end game to be. We know what we want the last episode to be.” As the writers got together to map out Season 4 in early 2025, they realized they might need more time. In a June 2025 interview with Deadline, creator Sarah Lampert admitted she is open to a fifth season: “I always thought it would end at season four, just because I knew what the ending was, let’s say, but what we’re finding in the writers’ room for this season is that there’s actually more there. And it would almost feel rushed to get to that ending for it to happen in four. I’m not Netflix. I can’t control whether or not there’s a season five, but I would say what we discovered very early on in the Season 4’s writers’ room is, oh, there’s more story here.” Elsewhere, the new season brings new faces to Wellsbury, with the central theme being “cycles and new beginnings”. In late 2025, Netflix announced three major recurring additions to the cast: Sunny Mabrey (Gotham Knights) will play a character named Daisy. Interestingly, Daisy is also the name of Georgia’s mother, heavily implying we are going to meet the woman who raised our favorite Southern belle. Ali Skovbye (Firefly Lane) is joining the cast as a character named Rainn. Kataem O’Connor (40 Acres) will be playing a character named Isaiah. Of course, you can expect all the mainstays back, including Diesel La Torraca (Austin), Felix Mallard (Marcus), Sara Waisglass (Max), and Jennifer Robertson (Ellen). Sarah Glinski also remains on board as showrunner for the new season.  No release date yet; the series was mysteriously missing from the Next on Netflix 2026 list, suggesting it may not be until 2027 before it’s finally back on our screens.
