Opening issue of the ''Age, Culture, Humanities'' journal, published in 2014. Charise calls for greater scholarly attention on the matter of aging studies, and analyzes the social stigmas associated with aging. Charise declares the purpose of the journal: to promote a platform of study where aging is analyzed in addition to its intersectionality with other fields of humanities. She also suggests a plan for the future, where information regarding aging studies can be made more readily avaliable to the public.
