I have found in my research that most animals are not adversely affected by urushiol, only humans and possibly a few other primates have a strong allergic response to it. (From the Smithsonian Institute[https://www.si.edu/stories/poison-ivy-primer]) This should definitely be stated somewhere in the article, but I'm not sure where in the article would be most appropriate for this. The intro, the "Allergic response and treatment section," or the "Mechanism of action" section all seem like viable candidates.
