Just as her husband is sometimes referred to as 'Donald.' Is there a grammatical rule that I am not aware of? [[User:Grandma Roses|Grandma Roses]] ([[User talk:Grandma Roses|talk]]) 17:28, 13 April 2026 (UTC) |

:This has been discussed before, so please have a look at previous comments on this talk page (including archived ones). Using a person's surname is generally preferred because that's more formal, but her surname wasn't "Trump" until 2005, so referring to her as "Trump" |
:This has been discussed before, so please have a look at previous comments on this talk page (including archived ones). Using a person's surname is generally preferred because that's more formal, but her surname wasn't "Trump" until 2005, so referring to her as "Trump" when discussing the period of time before 2005 would be incorrect/anachronistic. And there are also some other people discussed in the article who have the surname "Trump", so if we use "Trump" after 2005, it might not always be clear which Trump we're talking about. — [[User:BarrelProof|BarrelProof]] ([[User talk:BarrelProof|talk]]) 22:18, 20 April 2026 (UTC) |
