== Origin of the name ==

Two things strike me as problematic about the phrase "so they attempted to rename it ''engi''" that has appeared on this page since 2008. One is the odd lack of capitalisation of "engi"; the other is that it seems like a very unlikely candidate for a new name. "Engi" in Japanese means something like "luck", and the corresponding Japanese Wikipedia pages for related toponyms do explain how for the sake of ''engi'' the name of the eponymous city and river were changed. The Japanese Wikipedia pages do not mention any attempt to rename the lake ''engi'', and as a person of Japanese background, I would consider such a renaming to be bad ''engi'' itself.
