The reason for the revelation of Surah kafirun was pagans offering to make a compromise with Muhammad, offering him either wealth and whichever woman he like in marriage, or that he would worship their gods for one year and they would worship his God in another year. Surah kafirun was revealed and their offers and compromise were rejected.{{Cite web |date=2023-12-15 |title=Tafsir of Surah Al-Kafirun - 5 Lessons learned |url=https://quranteacheracademy.com/blog/surah-al-kafirun/ |access-date=2026-04-09 |language=en}}{{Cite web |date=2026-02-10 |title=The Virtue Of Surah Kafiroon, Surah Al-Kafirun {{!}} Quran Oasis |url=https://quranoasis.com/surah-kafiroon/ |access-date=2026-04-11 |website=quranoasis.com |language=en-US}} |
