When will ‘Bullet Train’ Release on Netflix?
Picture: Sony Columbia Pictures Brad Pitt’s new movie called Bullet Train is now exclusively in theaters for the next few months before heading to Netflix as part of the pay-1 deal. Here’s an estimated guide as to when that’ll be for those in the United States, India and other regions.  Based on a Japanese novel, the action-comedy features a huge ensemble cast and is about a man who is tasked with fetching a briefcase. Simple right? Well, no. He’s actually on a train full of assassins and other bad guys. Starring alongside Pitt in the movie is Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, and Andrew Koji. The movie was released in theaters on August 5th, 2022 and premiered to mixed reviews from critics. Now the best way to watch Bullet Train is on the big screen but if you are going to wait, Bullet Train will be among the first major rivals from a new Sony deal with Netflix in the US and will come to Netflix India too. When will Bullet Train be on Netflix? Details around the first window with Sony haven’t been fully fleshed out so we don’t have an exact date just yet. However, we can use their previous deal with Starz to provide a rough estimation of when Bullet Train will be on Netflix. Our research shows that Sony movies before 2022 went to Starz between 150 and 223 days after their theatrical release. So far, we’ve seen some smaller Sony movies come to Netflix in 2022 around 120 days after release but Uncharted took 168 days. If that’s the case with Bullet Train, it’ll be available on January 20th, 2023. Bullet Train – Picture: Sony Pictures To be safe, we’re currently predicting that Bullet Train will be on Netflix sometime between December 2022 and late February 2023. It’ll then be available on Netflix for a total of 18 months before moving to Disney and in this instance, it’d likely head to Hulu. As a rough estimation, this will be around Summer 2024. We’re keeping track of those additions here for a full breakdown of all the Sony movies coming to Netflix as part of this first-window deal. Uncharted and Morbius are among the first wave of Sony movies coming to Netflix. Other titles like Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse were also confirmed to come to Netflix US eventually. Will other regions of Netflix receive Bullet Train? The likely answer to this is yes, although we don’t have specifics. Netflix in multiple regions receives new Sony movies in a timely manner, although Netflix nor Sony promote any deal. Netflix India consistently receives new Sony movies 120 days after release, meaning you will see the movie added on December 3rd, 2022. Netflix Canada and the United Kingdom receive Sony movies 2 years after their theatrical release. Case in point, Fantasy Island, which was released in February 2020, touched down on Netflix CA and the UK recently in January 2022. That also applies to regions such as Belgium, Greece, Japan, Poland, Spain, Sweden, and South Africa. That’d mean Netflix in these regions will see Bullet Train added sometime in 2024. We’ll keep you posted over time as we learn more about the Bullet Train release date on Netflix.
