'''Richard Montgomery''' is a British mathematician, whose work mainly focuses on [[Extremal combinatorics|extremal]] and [[probabilistic combinatorics]].

== Biography ==
He studied at University of Cambridge, and completed his PhD in 2015 under the supervision of Andrew Thomason, with the PhD thesis titled Minors and Spanning Trees in Graphs. He later held a postodoctoral research position at University of Birmingham, and a Junior Research Fellowship at Trinity College at Cambridge from 2015 to 2019. From 2018 until 2022, he has worked at the University of Birmigham, first as a Fellow, then as a Senior Fellow and finally as a Reader in Combinatorics. Since 2022, he works at University of Warwick, where he became a full professor in 2025.
