HRC has expanded its operations beyond competitive motorsport to include the consumer performance market. In October 2024, the corporation established a business unit dedicated to the production of performance parts for street, track, and off-road vehicles. This initiative is managed by HRC US and focuses on the commercial availability of racing-derived components. According to corporate plans for 2026, HRC will introduce "Formula R," a line of engine oils developed from its Formula One technical data. Additionally, the "Honda Heritage Works" program is scheduled to begin in April 2026. This service will facilitate the global distribution of reproduction parts and provide vehicle restoration services in Japan for classic Honda and Acura sport models.{{Cite web |title=Digital FactBook – Chronology |url=http://hondanews.com/en-US/releases/digital-factbook-chronology |access-date=2026-04-19 |website=Honda Newsroom |language=en}}

HRC serves as a research platform for Honda’s carbon neutrality initiatives, specifically in the development of sustainable propulsion. The company utilizes the Super Taikyu Series in Japan to test carbon-neutral fuels (CNF) through the Civic Type R CNF-R project. In 2024, HRC's research contributed to the commencement of mass production for new fuel cell systems in Ohio, a joint venture with General Motors intended for heavy-duty trucking and stationary power stations. These technical applications also extend to aerospace; in 2025, a HondaJet completed a test flight using a 100% blend of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). HRC is involved in a joint project with Astrobotic Technology to develop power solutions for lunar surface missions, utilizing technologies derived from its fuel cell research.
