:User safety and privacy was one of the main reasons why Wikipedia enabled temporary accounts. I don't think it would be helpful to remove references to this. No one can guarantee true safety and privacy of anything; no one except Gods or [[Cultist Simulator|the Velvet]]. But at the very least, it's much more difficult to unmask someone's IP address from a temporary account, as opposed to it just being an IP address.
