The Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, is a part of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, that focuses on making sure food, dietary, supplements, and cosmetics in the United States are safe and properly regulated. October 2024, the FDA created Human Foods Program, which has majority of the offices that previously handled food safety policy and regulatory work. Many of the responsibilities that were handled by CFSAN were incorporated into the new program.
