Hi, I am a new-ish user who first began reading articles in this encyclopedia about ''3 years ago'', most of them being about biology, from [[Thorarchaeia]], to [[Phocoena dioptrica|''Phocoena dioptrica'']]. However, none of that time, did I ever ''edit'' Wikipedia up until about 7 months ago, but then, I only really made small copy edits because I didn't want any chance of disturbing the encyclopedia, because I knew how daunting the task of editing Wikipedia was, considering all of its policies, guidelines, notable essays, and to a lesser extent, {{random item|humorous|humourous}} essays.

Around five months ago, I decided to formally give editing Wikipedia a shot, since I had noticed blatant neutrality issues on the article [[David Chilton Phillips]], whilst trying to see if Wikipedia had an article on the director of the International Marine Mammal Project of [[Earth Island Institute]].
