::nothing in the article mentioned explicitly that he is a party member of USDP. True, USDP dominated both Houses, doesn't equate to him being a member of a political party as of now. [[User:Salai Rungtoi|Salai Rungtoi]] ([[User talk:Salai Rungtoi|talk]]) 04:07, 11 April 2026 (UTC) |

I appreciate the above discussion, they have not been very clear as to his party affiliation and I hope we're able to figure it out. I'd like to raise a second issue. I have seen some people on talk pages saying he is still a commissioned officer with the rank of senior general, despite stepping down as CinCDS. The rule in the constitution is that the president cannot be a "public servant" in any other capacity. I figured a commissioned officer is a public servant, but if they are saying that does not count and only being CinCDS was the issue, then that's what it is and we need to reflect that. I have just been unable to find that information and would like input. [[User:TEMPO156|TEMPO156]] ([[User talk:TEMPO156|talk]]) 23:50, 18 April 2026 (UTC) |
