I have noticed that the introduction paragraph includes a seemingly excessive number of citations, I recommend that these are either removed or relocated, any suggestions? [[User:Panderbear01|Panderbear01]] ([[User talk:Panderbear01|talk]]) 11:53, 19 September 2024 (UTC)

== Türks weren't Mamluks and Mamluks weren't Türks ==

Türks and Mamluks aren't related in any way at all. This is a false narrative that bad actors have made up to falsify Türkish history due either ignorance or an anti-Turkish racial agenda. Poor European understandings or translations of history are very common and lead to false assumptions such as this one. Such as channels (like "No Friday Night Plans" which is a misinformation and propaganda fake news channel) that have misreported this false information. This is a historical falsehood. Türks were never enslaved by any other groups of people including Arabs. The contrary was true. Öğuz Türks were the ones who converted and assimilated non-Türks into being Türkish culturally and later 'Arab' though Islamification. They (these non-Türks) were never ethnically Türk or Türkic (despite calling themselves Türks due to identifying with their owners). Oguz Türks (and other Türkic ethnic groups) have always been ruling class and nobility for the entirety of their existence. This was true in this time period.
