I’ve gone ahead and removed several entries like Burgundy, Bornholm, the Sorbs, and the Pied-Noir micronation. The main issue is that this list is currently a hodgepodge of every group with a flag and a Facebook page, regardless of whether they are actually "separatist." |

The list should be much stricter about the distinction between cultural autonomy (minority rights) and actual secessionism. For example, the Sorbian groups in Germany reject separatism in their own mission statements, yet they were listed here as if they’re trying to form a new country. Same goes for tiny regionalist parties in Bornholm or East Frisia that just want better ferry prices or local language schools. |

If we keep including every fringe micronation, the list becomes useless for anyone actually trying to understand European geopolitics. I’m trying to bring the page back in line with [[WP:UNDUE]] and its own title. If people want to re-add these, we should probably discuss creating a separate "List of autonomist movements in Europe" instead of cluttering this one.
