:::::Socialists have a wide range of views on the Soviet Union and its fall. Many Trotskyists, Anarchists, Eurocommunists, Democratic Socialists, etc didn't/don't mourn it for example.

:::::It is not an automatic "sky is blue" statement like you're framing it as. Support for the Soviet Union amongst left-wing wing people has never been universal/unanimous. [[User:CeltBrowne|CeltBrowne]] ([[User talk:CeltBrowne|talk]]) 03:20, 21 April 2026 (UTC)

::::::Calling it a catastrophe isn't mourning it. It's describing the historical impact of the event. See this is also a problem: people trying to build some sort of psychological profile based on their misinterpretation of what he was saying. Like we already have his trip to China well documented here. This tells us nothing new and this is a biography and not a [[list of times Hasan Piker said something very normal and in-character for him]]. ::I do not think censorship concerns really apply here. The concern wasn't that the sentence was unfavorable, but that it is just based off a recent event. If his views on the Soviet Union are to be included in the biography, they should ideally be shown through broader coverage across more than one source and in more than one context, rather than relying on coverage of his speech at Yale. ◦ [[User:Sibshops|Sibshops]] ([[User talk:Sibshops|talk]]) 21:31, 20 April 2026 (UTC)
