Something to keep an eye on is that Caleb Banks, who is 6'6" and 331 pounds, was announced & is listed as a Defensive End. However, 1. He played DT/NT in college, 2. Most media reports are referring to him as a DT or just as a defensive lineman, and 3. In a press conference with head coach Kevin O'Connell, he refers to the importance of "disruptors on the inside" ([https://www.vikings.com/video/kevin-o-connell-discusses-vikings-selecting-dl-caleb-banks-in-first-round-of-2026-nfl-draft here], at around the 3:50 mark) when explaining why they chose Caleb Banks, leaving me to think that the announced position could have been a mistake. |
