=== Zohran Mamdani === |
|||
On Harris' Making Sense podcast from April, 2026 he alleged that New York City Mayor [[Zohran Mamdani]] was driven more by antisemitism and Islamic ideology than he was by concern for the well being of New Yorkers, saying "I think he's a sinister figure. A none too closeted Islamist or at minimum apologist for Islamists. He's not ethically sane... Though he can seem to like somebody who just cares about people who are finding it hard to make ends meet in New York. If you double click on many of his political allegiances and the kinds of things his wife likes on social media what you get is a picture of somebody who's captured by a fairly sinister theocratic agenda and an antisemitic one. This is not about garbage trucks and cleaning up central park and really helping the city. The thing that really seems to animate him are these political concerns that don't have a lot to do with being mayor and have a lot to do with Israel and Islam. He's not the worst person you might find in that vein but he's far too close to be a shill for Islamist theocrats than I would want running a major American city to say nothing of our government. If we had a Mamdani character who was a viable presidential candidate, who has these kinds of ties to obvious antisemites and Islamists and Muslim Brotherhood adjacent evil, I would find that genuinely terrifying." Referring to the podcast episode, [[Krystal Ball]] of the news channel [[Breaking Points]] called Harris' comments blatantly racist and bigoted.{{Cite AV media |url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToRRVYj2ZXQ |title=Zohran Dem Takeover COMPLETE After Obama Bends the Knee |date=2026-04-20 |last= |type=Video |series=Breaking Points |access-date=2026-04-20 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20260422002058/https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1cBgbn3h30 |archive-date=April 22, 2026 |url-status=live |via=YouTube}} |
