Born in [[Weißenfels]],[ Proschwitz played football as a youth for teams in [[Michelau in Oberfranken|Michelau]], [[Lichtenfels, Bavaria|Lichtenfels]] and [[Hallstadt]], before joining the youth team at [[SpVgg Greuther Fürth|Greuther Fürth]].
