On 19 April 2026, the Undangs announced the removal of Tuanku Muhriz due to alleged misconduct and named Tunku Panglima of Negeri Sembilan Tunku Nadzaruddin, the third son of the 10th Yang di-Pertuan Besar Tuanku Ja'afar, as the 12th Yang di-Pertuan Besar at the Balai Undang Luak Sungei Ujong.
