In 1974, a group of student choir singers, at the suggestion of Cees Rotteveel, decided to establish a national student chamber choir, following the example of the Netherlands Student Orchestra. The choir was founded in Drienelo during the evaluation of the inter-academic music festival PAN, which had been held in [[Wageningen]] that year; thus, the Netherlands Student Chamber Choir became a reality. From 2013 to 2018, the NSK was led by Kurt Bikkembergs. From 2019 to 2023, Beni Csillag was the conductor. Since 2024, Lodewijk van der Ree has been the conductor. |
