He is the son of late Virendra Bhatia, a former Rajya Sabha (India's upper house of Parliament) member and Advocates General of Uttar Pradesh. Gaurav Bhatia received his education at La Martinière College, Lucknow, followed by undergraduate studies at the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut, United States, and a law degree from Lucknow University. From 2015 to 2017, he served as the Honorary Secretary of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA). Gaurav Bhatia was a National Spokesperson and the National President of the Samajwadi Party's Legal Wing . On 5 February 2017, he quit the party, and on 2 April 2017, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party and is now the National Spokesperson of the party. |
